3D areola reconstruction is a specialized paramedical tattooing treatment that recreates the natural appearance of a nipple and areola following mastectomy, breast reconstruction, injury, or other changes to the breast. Custom pigments are selected to complement your skin tone or match an existing areola. Through carefully placed color, shading, highlights, and fine details, the tattoo creates realistic depth and dimension while remaining flat to the touch. Before treatment, the size, shape, placement, and color will be discussed and approved. Pigment is then gently implanted into the skin using professional tattooing equipment. Comfort levels vary, but clients may experience pressure, vibration, or mild discomfort. Temporary redness, tenderness, swelling, sensitivity, or scabbing may occur during healing, and detailed aftercare instructions will be provided. Having this treatment performed by an appropriately trained Registered Nurse provides the added benefit of clinical assessment and patient-centered care. Your medical history and the condition of the treatment area can be reviewed to identify concerns that may require medical clearance or referral. An RN’s training in assessment, infection control, patient education, and healing support is especially valuable for clients who have undergone breast surgery or cancer treatment. This treatment may help restore visual balance, improve confidence, and provide a greater sense of completion without another surgical reconstruction procedure. Treatment can only be performed once the area has fully healed and has been evaluated as safe and appropriate for tattooing. PLEASE NOTE that this service typically requires multiple sessions to achieve the desired results. Following your consultation, discounted package rates are available for clients who wish to purchase multiple sessions in advance. You may also schedule and pay for individual sessions at the standard rate as needed.
